YOUTH PROGRAMS
Flag Etiquette Program for Youth
Objective: This program is designed to increase the knowledge of our local youth in the proper display and respect for the Flag of the United States of America. The following topics will be included.- Flag code.
- Pledge of Allegiance to the flag: manner of delivery.
- National Anthem: manner of delivery
- Display and use of the flag.
- Hands on application of topics discussed will include:
- Acting as a member of a color guard
- Raising and lowering the flag (weather permitting)
- Proper conduct during hoisting, lowering or passing of the flag
- Proper folding of the flag
- Students will receive age appropriate flag etiquette publications.
